The Shyft web app showing July 2026: 96 hours logged across 9 shifts and 4 nights, with each shift marked on the month grid and weekly hour totals down the right.

Three things, done for you.

For locum physicians — and especially for a month split across several hospitals and agencies, each wanting its own timesheet.

A month of shifts on the Shyft calendar, each with its hours, and weekly totals of 12h, 24h and 36h.

Shifts

Auto-import, approve-first

Your Google Calendar suggests; you approve. Read-only, always.

Itemized expenses: Harborview Inn lodging $612.40 reviewed, Airport Garage parking $48.00 needing review, Hertz rental car $284.50 split between both hospitals, and 86 miles of mileage.

Receipts

Forward an email, done

Receipts are read and itemized for you — lodging, mileage, and more.

The generated timesheet's own columns: shift date, start time, end time, overtime hours, bonus rate and total daily hours.

Also on your phone

The mobile apps are in private testing. Shyft already runs in any browser, phone included — everything above works today on the web.

What actually happens

Forward it. That's the whole job.

A forwarded email in the Shyft mail log: "Fwd: Your stay at Harborview Inn" from reservations@harborviewinn.com, marked reviewed.
A receipt lands at your Shyft address.
The same receipts as itemized expenses with merchant, category, date, amount and review status.
It arrives itemized, priced, and attached to a hospital.
A week of the Shyft calendar. One shift on the 24th carries an amber dot, and the legend below reads: pending your OK.

Approve-first, in practice

The amber dot is a shift you haven't agreed to yet.

Shyft found it on your calendar and will not put it on a timesheet, or in a total, until you say so. Confirmed hours are then yours — a later sync cannot quietly rewrite them.

The deliverable

What the agency actually receives.

Every shift with its start, end, overtime and daily hours; every expense grouped by category, with the rental car split across the two hospitals that shared it.

The generated Locum Timesheet PDF for Mercy General Hospital, CompHealth, 1–31 July 2026: seven 12-hour shifts, lodging $612.40, rental car $190.50 shared between both hospitals, 86 miles of mileage, and an expense total of $802.90.

Approve-first

Nothing imports without your OK.

Every calendar event arrives as a suggestion, pre-checked when it looks like a shift. You approve what's real; once you confirm hours, no background sync will ever silently overwrite them.

Trust & privacy

Your schedule. Nothing more.

Read-only calendar access

Shyft can never write to, edit, or delete anything on your calendar.

Confirmed hours stay put

Once you confirm hours, no sync will silently overwrite them.

Receipt emails never deleted

Forwarded originals are kept, never removed by the app.

No patient data, ever

Only your schedule and receipts. No medical data, no HIPAA exposure.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Shyft generates the columns locum agencies expect — date, start, end, overtime, bonus rate, daily total, and an explanation field — and exports as PDF, CSV, or a copy-ready view you can paste into a hospital portal. If your agency has a specific layout, it almost certainly maps to one of these.
